Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 10, DENZA, a premium vehicle brand under BYD, announced that its 250,000th mass-produced D9 vehicle had officially rolled off the assembly line.

The DENZA D9 is the first model introduced after the brand was launched with a new identity. On December 26, 2024, the 2025 DENZA D9 went on sale, offering eight trim levels: five PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) variants priced between 339,800 yuan and 449,800 yuan, and three BEV (battery electric vehicle) versions ranging from 349,800 yuan to 469,800 yuan.

Visually, the 2025 DENZA D9 retains the overall design of its predecessor but features refined styling details. The front fascia adopts a large chrome grille, with silver trim pieces redesigned into an "L" shape, flanked by sleek LED headlights for a bolder, more dynamic presence. The model also adds a roof-mounted LiDAR unit and side cameras integrated into the front fenders.

Inside, the new DENZA D9 emphasizes technological sophistication while maintaining a premium feel. The cabin features a 15.6-inch floating central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and an additional 10.25-inch HD passenger-side screen, enabling a seamless multi-screen interactive experience.

Passenger comfort is a key highlight. The second-row independent seats offer one-touch zero-gravity mode and are mounted on 1,080mm electric sliding tracks to maximize interior space. These seats come with 14-way electric adjustment, leg rests, and 16-point massage functionality. The third row is equally well-equipped, with triple child seat anchor points, seat ventilation and heating, and seatbelt reminder systems.

Across all variants, the 2025 DENZA D9 comes standard with the DiPilot 300 ADAS system, supported by 32 sensors, including a LiDAR unit.

Powertrain-wise, the 2025 DENZA D9 is built on BYD's fifth-generation DM hybrid technology. It features a 1.5T engine with a maximum output of 115 kW. The all-wheel-drive versions utilize a dual-motor setup—200 kW at the front and 45 kW at the rear—while the front-wheel-drive models are equipped with a 200 kW motor.
