[Shenzhen Initiates Formulation of Local Standards for Heavy-Duty Truck Battery Swapping Systems, Led by CATL-Affiliated Enterprise] The Shenzhen Market Supervision and Administration Bureau recently issued the second batch of local standard plans for 2025, requiring the completion of two standards, namely, "Technical Requirements for Interchangeability of Chassis-Mounted Heavy-Duty Truck Battery Swapping Systems" and "Design Specifications for Chassis-Mounted Heavy-Duty Truck Battery Swapping Stations," by December 31, 2026. Among them, the interchangeability standard will be led by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL)'s holding grandchild company, Contemporary Amperex Technology Qiji New Energy Technology, in collaboration with six entities, including BYD Lithium Battery and Anche Detection. The design specifications for battery swapping stations will be formulated by Contemporary Amperex Technology Qiji in conjunction with the Shenzhen New-Type Energy Storage Industry Association and the Shenzhen Institute of Standards and Technology. This initiative will promote the standardization of heavy-duty truck battery swapping and facilitate the interconnection of new energy commercial vehicle infrastructure.
