On June 3, the Huadian Yushu Hydrogen-Based Energy Integrated Demonstration Project was filed for record.
The project is located in Yushu City, Changchun City, Jilin Province, with Huadian Changchun Green Hydrogen Technology and Energy Co., Ltd. as the project entity. It is a new construction project. The project involves the construction of 800 MW of new energy wind power and distribution network power transmission lines, along with supporting facilities including a 32,000 mt/year green hydrogen production project and ancillary facilities. It will also include the construction of 44 sets of 2000 Nm³/h alkaline electrolyzers and 22 sets of 2000 m³ hydrogen spherical tanks. Additionally, a 250,000 mt/year methanol plant and ancillary facilities will be built. Phase I of the project includes the construction of 300 MW of new energy wind power and power transmission lines for hydrogen production, along with supporting facilities including a 10,000 mt/year green hydrogen production project and ancillary facilities. It will also involve the construction of a 220 kV substation, a main step-down substation, and distribution network power transmission lines.
The total investment in the project is 3.121 billion yuan. It is expected to commence in November 2025 and be completed in June 2027.
