China Star New Energy to Establish Lithium-ion Battery Anode Material Base in Oman with RMB 8 Billion Investment

[Investment and Construction of the Integrated Base Project for Anode Materials of Lithium-ion Batteries in Oman]

China Star New Energy Technology (300035.SZ) announced that the company plans to establish a project company in Oman through its Hong Kong wholly-owned subsidiary, Zhongke Shinzoom (Hong Kong) Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Hunan Zhongke Shinzoom Graphite Co., Ltd., a holding subsidiary of the company, to implement the Integrated Base Project for Anode Materials of Lithium-ion Batteries with an annual production capacity of 200,000 mt. The total investment will not exceed RMB 8 billion. The project will be constructed in two phases, with each phase having a planned production capacity of 100,000 mt/year and an estimated construction period of 36 months each. This project aims to meet overseas market demand and enhance the company's global market share. However, there are risks associated with project construction and approval, fundraising, price fluctuations, market demand, operation and management, policies and laws, and exchange rates.
