The Canadian labor union has called on the country to resist the escalating tariff threats from Trump. Lana Payne, president of Unifor, Canada's largest private-sector union, said that investments in Canada's steel and aluminum industries have been hit by tariffs, leading to job losses and economic instability. The union has called for retaliatory tariffs on US steel and aluminum and measures to prevent dumping. Meanwhile, it has suggested suspending the export of strategic metals to the US and establishing reserves.
