Published: Jun 4, 2025 18:21
On June 4, the winning bid result for the inverter equipment procurement of the CR New Energy Yunnan Zhongzhai PV Power Generation Project was announced. The winning bidder was Dongfang Hitachi (Chengdu) Electric Control Equipment Co., Ltd., with a winning bid price of 17,541,002.25 yuan. The tender announcement indicated that the Zhongzhai PV Power Generation Project would procure string PV inverter equipment (with the quantity determined by the model) and its accessories, spare parts, special tools, and other equipment for procurement, transportation, and services, with a total AC capacity of 202.24 MWac and a single-unit power of 300 kW or above (input voltage of 1500 V and output voltage of 800 V). It also included the procurement, transportation, installation, and commissioning of one set of inverter monitoring system equipment, as well as coordination with the commissioning of the PV field monitoring system. During the warranty period, the bidder shall unconditionally repair the equipment free of charge (including transportation, spare parts, etc.).

On June 4, the winning bid result for the inverter equipment procurement of the China Resources New Energy Yunnan Zhongzhai PV Power Generation Project was announced. The winning enterprise is Dongfang Hitachi (Chengdu) Electric Control Equipment Co., Ltd., with a winning bid price of 17,541,002.25 yuan.

The tender announcement indicated that the Zhongzhai PV Power Generation Project involves the procurement, transportation, and services of string-type PV inverter equipment (quantity determined by model) with a total AC capacity of 202.24 MWac, a single-unit power of 300 kW or above (input voltage of 1500 V, output voltage of 800 V), as well as its accessories, spare parts, special tools, and other equipment; the procurement, transportation, installation, and commissioning of one set of inverter monitoring system equipment; and coordination with the commissioning of the PV field monitoring system. During the warranty period, the bidder shall unconditionally repair the equipment free of charge (including transportation, spare parts, etc.).

Key indicators: Delivery date/Construction period: Submission time for equipment data and related reports: Within 2 months after contract signing (including but not limited to: electromagnetic and electromechanical transient model verification reports, electromechanical transient simulation PSD-BPA or DSP simulation models, electromagnetic transient RT-Lab dynamic link libraries; type test reports meeting the grid connection requirements of Yunnan Power Grid, which must include certification content for low voltage ride-through, high voltage ride-through, continuous fault ride-through, frequency adaptability, and weak grid adaptability; inverter hardware-in-the-loop simulation performance test reports completed at the Electromagnetic Transient Simulation Center of Yunnan Power Grid Corporation, with test results meeting the grid connection requirements of Yunnan Power Grid; inverter characteristic curves (including P-Q curves, temperature derating curves, and altitude derating curves)).

The inverter equipment will be delivered in three batches:

First batch: 1/3 of the procurement quantity, by May 31, 2025;

Second batch: 1/3 of the procurement quantity, by June 15, 2025;

Third batch: 1/3 of the procurement quantity, by June 30, 2025.

The above delivery dates are tentative. The specific delivery dates and quantities shall be subject to the bid inviter's "Written Notice of Commissioning". Note: For detailed information, please refer to the tender documents, which shall prevail.

China Approves 17.44 GW Power Plan for Qaidam Desert Base, Including Solar, Wind, and Energy Storage Projects
It is understood that the National Energy Administration has officially approved the power source allocation plan for the "Qaidam Desert Base (East Golmud) Base". The planned construction scale of the power source projects at this base is 17.44 million kilowatts, including 10 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power, 5 million kilowatts of wind power, 2.64 million kilowatts of coal-fired power, 0.1 million kilowatts of solar thermal power, and 1.5 million kilowatts (for 4 hours) of electrochemical energy storage. The total investment in the projects is about 86 billion yuan. The new energy will be transmitted to Guangxi through the "Qinghai-Guangxi DC" UHV power transmission project. Currently, significant progress has been made in the preliminary work of the "Qinghai-Guangxi DC" project, w

[SMM PV News] Armenia Hits 1.1 GW Solar Capacity,
Armenia’s cumulative solar capacity has surged to 1.1 GW following the addition of approximately 615 MW in 2025. This rapid expansion has pushed solar's share of electricity generation to around 15%, effectively meeting the country's 2030 target years ahead of schedule. The growth is heavily driven by a net-metering scheme supporting over 50,000 autonomous producers (totaling 650 MW), though the government ended loan subsidies for rooftop solar in July to shift focus toward battery storage.
