On May 29, Xiaoju Charging, DiDi's charging service platform, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with BYD to jointly develop an open and intelligent ultra-fast charging network.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 29, Xiaoju Charging, DiDi's charging service platform, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with BYD to jointly develop an open and intelligent ultra-fast charging network. The partnership aims to drive high-quality development in the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure sector through technological innovation and complementary strengths, delivering safe and efficient charging services to a broad user base.

Under the agreement, the two parties will combine their years of experience in technological innovation and operational expertise to serve a wide range of new energy vehicle (NEV) users, including private car owners, ride-hailing drivers, taxi operators, logistics fleets, and public transport providers. Together, they aim to enhance the reliability, convenience, speed, and safety of China's smart ultra-fast charging network.

In March, BYD officially unveiled its "Megawatt Flash Charging" technology, which enables electric vehicles to gain up to 400 kilometers of range in just five minutes. According to the agreement, Xiaoju Charging and BYD plan to jointly build 10,000 Megawatt Fast Charging stations over the next three years. The first of these stations broke ground on May 30 in Nanchang city, Jiangxi province.

Xiaoju Charging recently launched its "Ten Thousand Pile Upgrade" initiative, pledging over 100 million yuan this year to help charging site operators replace outdated equipment. The company is also overhauling its service ecosystem for charging station partners. The upgrade plan includes intelligent acceleration, smart maintenance, and advanced safety features, improving hardware performance, user experience, and business operations for participating merchants. As a key partner in this ecosystem, BYD will work with Xiaoju Charging to jointly build and expand this open and collaborative framework.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
