Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 3, NavInfo officially signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Alibaba Cloud, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership aimed at driving the intelligent transformation of the automotive industry.

The collaboration will integrate NavInfo's core capabilities in assisted driving, AI infrastructure, and intelligent cockpit solutions with Alibaba Cloud's strengths in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and global service networks.

Following the principles of security and compliance, technological complementarity, and ecosystem co-development, the partnership will focus on key areas including AI large model applications, driver assistance and vehicle connectivity technologies, automotive industry-specific cloud platforms, overseas expansion services for automakers, and smart transportation.

At the infrastructure level, the two companies will jointly develop an intelligent cloud foundation tailored for the automotive sector. This platform will combine NavInfo's AI infrastructure — including its closed-loop data security solutions — with Alibaba Cloud's robust cloud services to support scenarios such as autonomous driving R&D and vehicle-road-cloud integration.

Notably, the two parties will explore an innovative "data + heterogeneous computing" collaborative model. By integrating NavInfo's vehicle intelligence data, mapping products, closed-loop data capabilities, and ADAS technologies with Alibaba Cloud's cloud services, foundational models, and computing resources, the partners aim to accelerate the creation of a closed-loop intelligent vehicle data system. This will facilitate advancements in end-to-end technology R&D, AI large model training, automated data labeling, and simulation scenario libraries, ultimately boosting automakers' intelligence capabilities.

In expanding AI large model applications, NavInfo's integrated software-hardware intelligent cockpit capabilities will work in tandem with Alibaba's Tongyi large language model to explore multimodal interaction and distributed vehicle networking, reshaping the in-car human-machine interface. The companies also plan to explore internal enterprise applications of large models.

To support global expansion, Alibaba Cloud's international infrastructure will be integrated with NavInfo's overseas data toolchains, offering localized and compliant solutions for automakers venturing abroad and helping them expand into global markets.

This strategic partnership signifies a comprehensive alignment from technology to ecosystem between NavInfo and Alibaba Cloud. Moving forward, the two companies will deepen innovation-driven collaboration, scale up intelligent automotive technology applications, and deliver safer, smarter digital services to global users—driving a new wave of industrial advancement.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
