XPENG's monthly vehicle deliveries shoot up 230% YoY in May 2025

In May 2025, XPENG Inc. delivered 33,525 vehicles, marking a 230% year-on-year surge and extending its streak of monthly deliveries above 30,000 to seven consecutive months.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In May 2025, XPENG Inc. delivered 33,525 vehicles, marking a 230% year-on-year surge and extending its streak of monthly deliveries above 30,000 to seven consecutive months.

From January to May this year, the company delivered a total of 162,578 vehicles, representing a 293% surge compared to the same period last year.

Among its key models, the XPENG P7+ surpassed 55,000-unit cumulative deliveries within six months of its market launch, and is set to reach its 60,000th unit milestone. In May alone, XPENG delivered 3,327 units of its X9 MPV.

The company also made significant strides in international markets, officially entering Italy and Poland and becoming one of the first Chinese new energy vehicle startups to participate in Milan Design Week. XPENG now has a presence in more than ten European countries and is using its European operations as a springboard to accelerate its global expansion.

On May 21, XPENG reported its Q1 2025 financial results, posting revenue of RMB 15.81 billion, zooming up 141.5% year-on-year. The company delivered a record-high 94,008 vehicles during the quarter, a 330.8% spike from the same period last year. Overall gross margin reached 15.6%, up 2.7 percentage points year-on-year, while vehicle gross margin rose to 10.5%, climbing for the seventh consecutive quarter. As of the end of Q1 2025, XPENG held RMB 45.28 billion (US$6.24 billion) in cash reserves, an increase of over RMB 3.3 billion since December 31, 2024.
