[Lithium Battery Enterprise CBAK Energy Technology (Dalian) Seals Top of RMB1 Billion Large Cylindrical Lithium Battery Project] Recently, the intelligent production plant for high-performance 40-type large cylindrical lithium-ion batteries, with a total investment of RMB1 billion by CBAK Energy Technology (Dalian) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CBAK Dalian"), was officially capped. It is understood that this project is a key project in the Beihuanghai Economic Development Zone of Dalian. It was signed and settled in February 2025. It is a capacity expansion project for high-performance LFP batteries independently developed and designed by CBAK Dalian. It plans to introduce an internationally advanced 120ppm fully automatic lithium-ion battery production line. Compared with the original 26650 products, the new products have a fivefold increase in capacity, a 15% improvement in energy density, and a 10% reduction in battery cost. The capping of the project indicates that it is one step closer to production. CBAK Dalian plans to complete the commissioning of fully automated equipment and achieve mass production before the end of 2025. After reaching full production, the annual capacity will exceed 3GWh.
