Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In a major move to advance its intelligentization strategy, Chery Automobile has consolidated its subsidiaries Lion Tech and ZDRIVE.AI along with related operations from its R&D headquarters to establish a unified "Chery Intelligentization Center", according to a press release the automaker issued on May 30 via its WeChat account.
The new center is designed to streamline resources and enhance coordinated innovation efforts, forming a highly integrated and efficient force for intelligent vehicle development.
The Chery Intelligentization Center is structured to function as a full-capacity operational unit, housing dedicated R&D centers for intelligent cockpits, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and electronic and electrical architecture. It is positioned to manage the entire value chain—spanning hardware, algorithms, data, software, ecosystem integration, and user scenarios—enabling the company to maximize its advantages in data, technology, and platform synergies. This setup supports a rapid, iterative innovation cycle that can respond swiftly to market dynamics and user demands, accelerating the mass deployment of smart technologies.
This business restructuring marks a key step in Chery's broader push toward intelligentization. Since unveiling its smart mobility vision during the "Chery Intelligent Night" event on March 18, the company has garnered industry and consumer attention for its Falcon ADAS suite and Lion intelligent cockpit.
