[Gotion High-tech Launches Construction of 20GWh Power Battery Plant] Gotion High-tech's Moroccan subsidiary, "Gotion Power Morocco," recently announced the official commencement of construction for Africa's first large-scale EV battery plant, located in the Kenitra Atlantic Free Zone, marking Morocco's entry into the era of advanced energy industry. According to the plan, the first phase of the project will involve an investment of $1.3 billion, with a planned capacity of 20GWh. The first batch of products is expected to roll off the production line in Q3 2026. In the second phase, discussions will be held with the Moroccan government to increase the capacity to 40GWh, but no specific timetable has been announced.
