15GWh Solid-State Battery Project Approved in Chengdu

[15GWh Solid-State Battery Project Lands in Chengdu] On May 28, the Ecological and Environmental Bureau of Pidu District, Chengdu, issued an announcement stating that it would provide approval comments on the environmental impact assessment document for the "Qingtao Solid-State Battery Southwest Industrial Base Project". The project covers an area of approximately 446 mu (about 297,333 square meters) and plans to construct multiple facilities, including three battery cell plants and one module workshop. It is expected to produce 15GWh of solid-state batteries annually, making it Qingtao Energy's largest solid-state battery industrialisation project in terms of single-unit capacity that has been launched so far. Upon reaching full production, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value exceeding 10 billion yuan.
