[General Motors to Invest Nearly $900 Million in New York State Plant to Produce Latest V-8 Engine] General Motors announced on May 27 that it would invest $888 million in its Tonawanda plant in New York State, US, to support the production of the sixth-generation V-8 engine, which is used in full-size trucks and SUV car models. This is General Motors' largest single investment in an engine plant to date.
