Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) hosted a high-level German delegation led by HE Sybille Pfaff, Consul General of Germany in Dubai, to explore partnerships in renewable energy and green hydrogen. The visit is part of Germany’s Energy Export Initiative and included representatives from major clean energy companies like FEV Group, MAN Energy Solutions, Hexagon Purus, and MoveTech.

The meeting, led by DEWA’s MD & CEO HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, focused on collaboration in green hydrogen development, energy storage, and technology exchange. Delegates also discussed potential field visits to DEWA's assets, including the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.

Al Tayer shared updates on the Solar Park, which currently has a 3,760MW capacity (21% of Dubai’s energy mix), with plans to reach 7,260MW by 2030 (34%). Phase 6 (1,800MW) is due in 2026, and Phase 7 will include 1,600MW solar and 1,000MW battery storage, totaling 6,000 MWh.

[SMM PV News] Premier Energies Unveils India's First 0BB TOPCon Solar Cell
Premier Energies launched India's first zero-busbar (0BB) TOPCon solar cell at Intersolar Gandhinagar. Replacing traditional thick silver busbars with ultra-fine silver lines, the new architecture significantly reduces silver consumption and shading losses while boosting power output, mechanical flexibility, and resistance to micro-cracks. The innovation aligns with the manufacturer's $1.36 billion, three-year expansion plan to double its capacity, integrate backwards into ingot-wafers, and enter the inverter and battery markets.

A new Greek law establishes a 130 MW agrivoltaics target, capped at 10 MW across 13 prefectures. Exclusively for farmers, the scheme allows up to two 200 kW systems per person. Installations must be at least 2.1 meters high on farmland or greenhouse roofs, and can include 1-hour battery storage (non-grid charging). Applications open the first 10 days of each month on a first-come basis. Approved projects will secure fixed-tariff contracts, with specific rates pending government announcement.
