The model will be based on Renault's technology. French media reported that the eighth-generation Colt is scheduled to be launched as a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) in 2027. Its technical platform will be based on the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric platform, which has also given rise to models such as the Alpine A290 and the new Nissan Micra.
