Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 28, XPENG officially put four new variants of its MONA M03 sedan onto the market: the 515 Long Range Plus, the 620 Ultra Long Range Plus, the 502 Long Range Max, and the 600 Ultra Long Range Max. Official pricing for the new models ranges from 119,800 yuan to 139,800 yuan.
The 502-km and 600-km range versions belong to the higher-spec Max lineup, which introduces dual Orin-X chips—an industry-leading configuration in the 130,000 yuan segment—delivering what XPENG claims is the most advanced driver-assistance system in its class. All four new variants are available for immediate delivery.
The MONA M03 Max series stands out with a comprehensive upgrade in intelligent features, powered by XPENG's in-house developed Turing AI platform. Equipped with two Orin-X chips boasting a combined computing power of 508 TOPS, the system offers 4–6 times the performance of typical peers in the 100–150 TOPS range. This high computing power enables advanced environmental perception, path planning, and real-time control across complex driving scenarios.
The vehicle's hardware includes 27 high-precision perception units, spanning cameras, millimeter-wave radar, and ultrasonic sensors. This setup feeds rich data into XPENG's AI models, allowing the system to recognize over 50 types of road references for precise decision-making in complex traffic environments.
Crucially, the Max models feature "out-of-the-box" nationwide usability, eliminating the need for high-definition city maps or pre-trained routes. From the first drive, users can access stable, reliable intelligent assistance across varied road conditions.
In terms of driving experience, the MONA M03 Max incorporates a "human-AI co-driving" concept. During NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot) operation, the system does not disengage when the driver intervenes, nor does the AI fight for steering control—solving common issues related to control handover in traditional assisted driving systems and enabling smoother collaboration between human and machine.
Inside the cabin, the MONA M03 Max variant debuts XPENG's new AI Tianji 5.7.0 system, which brings over 300 feature upgrades. Voice control coverage now exceeds 90%, with response times reduced to under 0.9 seconds. The system supports custom driving scenarios and seamless integration between the car's infotainment and the user's mobile ecosystem. Backed by XPENG's proprietary XGPT large language model, the in-car voice assistant "Xiao P" offers emotional recognition, contextual reasoning, and other advanced interactions beyond basic voice commands.
Since its market launch in August 2024, the MONA series has maintained monthly sales above 10,000 units for eight consecutive months, reaching 100,000-unit deliveries in just 216 days.
