On May 26, the first phase of the 100,000 mt green methanol project under the Shenyang Wind and Solar Power-to-Hydrogen Integration with Biomass Green Alcohol and Oil Demonstration Project was approved for filing. It was reported that on March 1, Liaoning Province held a symposium in Beijing to deepen cooperation with central state-owned enterprises. The China Energy Engineering Group's Shenyang Wind and Solar Power-to-Hydrogen Integration with Biomass Green Alcohol and Oil Base Project is located in Kangping County, Shenyang City, with an intended investment of 32 billion yuan. The project plans to invest in the construction of a 500,000 mt/year biomass green alcohol and oil production project, supported by 2 GW of centralized wind power, and is expected to have an annual biomass demand of approximately 3 million mt. The first phase involves the investment and construction of a 100,000 mt green methanol project, while the second phase plans to invest in the construction of a 400,000 mt green aviation fuel project.
