[Japan's Cabinet Approves 388 Billion Yen in Reserve Funds to Counter US Tariff Measures] The Japanese government decided at a cabinet meeting on the 27th local time to use 388 billion yen in reserve funds as part of an emergency response plan to counter tariff measures implemented by the US government. Of this amount, 288 billion yen will be used to subsidize summer electricity and gas bills, and 100 billion yen will be allocated to "key support funds for local governments" for use by local governments according to specific circumstances.
