[The strongest rainfall process in south China this year is expected to occur; seven provinces and regions including Hunan and Fujian should be vigilant against disasters caused by heavy rain] Since May this year, rainfall has been frequent in south China, with precipitation in many areas exceeding the normal level for the same period. From tomorrow (May 27) to the 29th, south China will experience the strongest rainfall process this year. The areas with heavy rainfall will highly overlap with those in the early stage. Regions such as Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangxi, Guangdong, Yunnan, and Guizhou need to be vigilant against disasters caused by heavy rain. Since May, three relatively strong rainfall processes have occurred consecutively in areas from Guizhou to the south of the Yangtze River and South China. The cumulative precipitation in parts of Guizhou, most of Guangxi, northern and western Guangdong, northern Jiangxi, southern Hunan, and southern Zhejiang has been 1 to 2 times higher than the normal level for the same period.
