Recently, JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd., signed a service contract with Khoemacau Copper Mining Proprietary Limited for underground mining services at the Khoemacau copper mine. The total contract value is approximately $805 million, marking the company's expansion into a new country for mine development service projects in Africa.
The controlling shareholder of Khoemacau Copper Mining Proprietary Limited is Minmetals Resources Limited, which is listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The Khoemacau copper mine is located in the Kalahari copper belt in southern Africa, with mining rights covering an area of over 4,000 square kilometers. The project scope covered by the contract signed by both parties involves underground mining services in the fifth mining area of the Khoemacau copper mine, with a project duration of approximately five years.
In 2025, China and Botswana will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The Khoemacau project is JCHX Mining Management's first mine development service project in Botswana. The signing of this contract marks a new breakthrough and achievement for JCHX Mining Management in its continuous deepening of the African market, highlighting the company's comprehensive strengths in international mine development services. JCHX Mining Management will concentrate its advantageous resources, leverage its overseas mine development and construction experience, as well as its international management expertise, to collaborate sincerely with Khoemacau Copper Mining Proprietary Limited. Together, they aim to build the Khoemacau project into a benchmark project in the southern African region, contributing greater strength to the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative.
