SMM News, May 26: According to SMM, Shandong Humon Smelting Co., Ltd. has initiated a public tender today for the sale of approximately 64 tons of antimony trioxide (Sb₂O₃). Official sources indicate that this batch of antimony oxide meets the quality standard YS/T 1117-2016, with the grade designation Sb₂O₃-1. The delivery method is buyer's pickup, with transportation costs borne by the buyer. Payment must be made in full before collection, and the delivery location is at Shandong Humon Smelting Co., Ltd.

Currently, the official starting bid price has not been disclosed. Buyers are required to submit their own quotations based on their circumstances. If Humon is dissatisfied with the bidding results, it reserves the right to halt the sale of the related products, with final interpretation resting solely with Humon. To ensure timely submission, the quotation form, a copy of the bidder’s business license, and invoicing information (stamped with the official seal) must be emailed to 95186930@qq.com by 11:30 AM on May 27, 2025, followed by prompt communication with Humon’s representatives for confirmation.

Market analysts suggest that Humon’s release of approximately 64 tons for tender can serve as a gauge of current market demand. The final bidding prices may reflect certain market conditions. SMM will continue to track and report on the progress of the tender.

In February, both supply and demand contracted simultaneously, and the market is expected to show a tight balance or minor destocking. The current high industry inventory still requires time to be digested, and the sustainability of destocking remains a key variable affecting price trends and market sentiment.

A plant in northern China is calling for bids for indium ingots and bismuth ingots
SMM, February 6 - According to SMM’s investigation of market information, a large smelter in northern China began public bidding for a certain quantity of indium ingots and bismuth ingots starting yesterday. Market sources indicate that the starting price for these indium ingots exceeds 4,000 yuan per kilogram, while the starting price for bismuth ingots is above 150,000 yuan per ton. The bidding results are expected to be announced before the Spring Festival. Market participants note that, given the clear trend of sluggish trading activity ahead of the Spring Festival, the timing of this bidding is not ideal. However, the relatively favorable starting prices have generated considerable market anticipation for the outcome of the bidding.
