SMM, May 25:
In April 2025, China's exports of primary polysiloxane in silicone form amounted to 47,600 mt, down 9.07% MoM and up 4.16% YoY. The cumulative exports of primary polysiloxane in silicone form from January to April 2025 reached 182,300 mt, up 8.71% YoY. Among them, South Korea received the largest trade volume in April, with 9,500 mt, up 2.15% MoM from April, maintaining its position as the top trading partner.

In terms of specific export trading partners, demand from South Korea remained the highest this month, while demand from countries such as Turkey and Vietnam decreased significantly. In April, exports to South Korea were 9,500 mt, up 2.15% MoM from April. The demand for silicone in South Korea's textile and emulsion sectors remained high, with silicone demand maintaining a relatively high level. It is expected to exceed 10,000 mt per month in the future. The top five export trading partners in April were South Korea, India, the US, Vietnam, and Turkey, accounting for 49.87% of total exports. Among them, Turkey's demand fell to fifth place, with a trade volume of 2,100 mt. The total trade volume of the top five partners was 23,800 mt, slightly decreasing MoM from March.

Compared with March data, South Korea's trade volume was 9,500 mt, up 2.15% MoM from April, accounting for 19.88% of total exports. The concentration of demand increased again, and subsequent demand is expected to continue growing. India's trade volume was 7,200 mt, down 5.26% MoM, accounting for 15.20% of total exports. The US trade volume was 2,700 mt, accounting for 5.38% of total exports, up 28.57% MoM, rising to third place. Vietnam's trade volume was 2,300 mt, accounting for 4.91% of total exports, down 23.33% MoM from March. Turkey's trade volume was 2,100 mt, falling to fifth place, down 32.26% MoM from March, accounting for 4.51% of total exports.
