[50 GWh of Capacity Investment and Construction to Be Completed in Two Years! Changan Auto's Total Battery Cell Capacity to Reach 75 GWh] On May 22, Changan Auto stated at an investment survey meeting that it would comprehensively iterate on the core technologies of the three electric systems (battery, motor, and electric control) in the future. Together with its partners, it would delve into the development of key processes for new electrolytes. Among these efforts, it would complete the investment and construction of a 50 GWh battery cell capacity at Svolt Changan from 2025 to 2026, bringing the total battery capacity to 75 GWh. In terms of solid-state batteries, Changan Auto plans to achieve vehicle-mounted validation of solid-state batteries in 2026 and gradually promote the mass production of all-solid-state batteries in 2027, with an energy density of 400 Wh/kg. Additionally, it will fully advance the development of the second-generation fuel cell system and its integration into vehicles, while rapidly breaking through technological bottlenecks such as high-voltage fast charging to achieve mass production of high-voltage platform products, with an 18% increase in power density.
