Sungrow is Pre-selected for the Inverter Replacement Project Order of Fengshou PV Power Station (Phase I)

On May 23, the winning bidder candidates for the inverter replacement project of Fengshou PV Power Station (Phase I) were announced. Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. ranked first among the winning bidder candidates, with a bid price of RMB 15.2797 million yuan. Fengshou PV Power Station was invested and constructed by Guangxi Xiangzhou Hanggui Energy Co., Ltd., and is located at Fengshou Reservoir between Shilong Town and Maping Town in Xiangzhou County, Laibin City, Guangxi. The PV ground power generation project with an installed capacity of 60MWp for Fengshou PV Power Station (Phase I) was connected to the grid in June 2017. The system of Fengshou PV Power Station (Phase I) mainly consists of key equipment such as PV modules, string inverters, AC cabinet step-up transformers, and AC/DC cables. The string inverters used are equipment produced by Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., with the specification and model SG50KTL and a quantity of 1,165 units. The maximum DC voltage of the SG50KTL string inverter is 1,100V, with a rated output voltage of 540V, a rated output power of 48kW, and air cooling. Among them, 384 SG50KTL string inverters use RS485 for communication, while 781 SG50KTL string inverters use PLC (Power Line Communication) for communication.

On May 23, the winning candidates for the tender of the inverter replacement project for Fengshou PV Power Station (Phase I) were announced. Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. ranked first among the winning candidates, with a bid price of 15.2797 million yuan.

Fengshou PV Power Station was invested and constructed by Guangxi Xiangzhou Hanggui Energy Co., Ltd., and is located at Fengshou Reservoir, between Shilong Town and Maping Town in Xiangzhou County, Laibin City, Guangxi. The PV ground-mounted power generation project with an installed capacity of 60MWp for Fengshou PV Power Station (Phase I) was connected to the grid in June 2017. The system of Fengshou PV Power Station (Phase I) mainly consists of key equipment such as PV modules, string inverters, AC cabinet step-up transformers, and AC/DC cables. The string inverters used are manufactured by Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., with the model and specification SG50KTL, and a quantity of 1,165 units. The SG50KTL string inverter has a maximum DC voltage of 1,100V, a rated output voltage of 540V, a rated output power of 48kW, and is air-cooled. Among them, 384 SG50KTL string inverters use RS485 for communication, while 781 SG50KTL string inverters use PLC (Power Line Communication) for communication.

The PV power generation system of this project mainly consists of key equipment such as PV modules, string inverters, AC cabinets, step-up transformers, and AC/DC cables. The PV module array consists of 24 modules in one string, with every 8 strings connected to one SG50KTL string inverter. After being inverted to 540V AC voltage, it is connected to an 8-in-1 AC combiner box. A total of 4 AC combiner boxes are connected to one 1,600kVA transformer, which is then stepped up and connected to the 35kV switchgear room. The SG50KTL string inverters used in Fengshou PV Power Station (Phase I) do not meet the requirements of Guangxi Power Grid for functions such as AGC regulation, high/low voltage ride-through, and primary frequency modulation. It is now proposed to carry out technological transformation and replacement of all 1,165 existing SG50KTL string inverters in Fengshou PV Power Station (Phase I) to meet the requirements of Guangxi Power Grid and avoid being assessed under the two detailed rules.

The scope of this tender includes the following projects:

(1) Procurement of several string PV grid-tie inverters. The inverters shall pass the type certification of "NB/T32004-2018 Technical Specification for PV Grid-Tie Inverters" and meet the requirements for PV inverters specified in documents such as "GB/T19964-2024 Technical Regulations for Connecting PV Power Stations to the Power System" and "GB/T40595-2021 Technical Regulations and Test Guidelines for Primary Frequency Modulation of Grid-Connected Power Sources", as well as functions such as AGC regulation, high/low voltage ride-through, and primary frequency modulation of Guangxi Power Grid. Note: For specific quantity requirements, please refer to the Bill of Quantities.

(2) Responsible for the dismantling, installation, and relocation of old and new inverters, as well as the transformation of string inverter supports.

(3) Responsible for the cable installation of string inverters, as well as the fabrication and installation of damaged power cable terminals.

(4) Procure several communication cabinets. Note: Refer to the Bill of Quantities for specific quantity requirements.

(5) Be responsible for the dismantling and installation of old and new communication cabinets, modification of supports, transfer of original equipment, wiring, and sealing with fireproof putty, etc.

(6) Be responsible for grid connection commissioning and communication commissioning after equipment installation.

(7) Be responsible for providing warranty services and corresponding spare parts as required by Party A. Note: This project is a turnkey project with a fixed total price, aiming to replace the existing Sungrow string inverters at Fengshou PV Power Plant (Phase I) to meet the latest power grid requirements. Party B shall be responsible for completing equipment procurement, project construction, installation, commissioning, and grid connection. The costs incurred during the procurement of corresponding construction materials and implementation have been fully included in the total quotation. Party A will not make any reductions or increases, and Party B shall be responsible for the lump-sum use of the funds.

After the contract is signed, all work for this project shall be completed within 120 days from the date of receiving the mobilization notice issued by Party A.
