Cyclic Materials, a rare earth elements recycler in Canada, will collaborate with electric moped company Lime to recover magnets from old e-bike and moped motors. Under the cooperation agreement, Cyclic will recover rare earth materials from Lime's scrap engines in the US and Canada, and process them at its facilities in Mesa, Arizona, and Kingston, Ontario. Cyclic and Lime plan to commence operations in the coming weeks, with production expansion expected in 2025. Cyclic's Kingston facility employs hydrometallurgy processes to produce mixed rare earth oxides. Mesa is the company's first branch in the US. Lime operates over 270,000 e-bikes across 280 cities globally. It collaborates with Redwood for battery recycling.
