SMM, May 22:

This week, the prices of wet-process separators remained relatively stable. The mainstream quotations for 5μm/7μm/9μm products were adjusted to 1.35 yuan, 0.76 yuan, and 0.74 yuan respectively, with quotations experiencing varying degrees of decline this week, primarily due to the expansion of the reference trading volume range. The prices of dry-process separators increased slightly, with mainstream quotations for 12μm/16μm products reaching 0.45 yuan and 0.44 yuan. From the perspective of supply and demand structure, on the supply side, due to the long expansion cycle of the separator industry, the capacity accumulated in the early stage has not been fully absorbed, and the oversupply situation in the market will continue. On the demand side, benefiting from the downstream end-use market, the procurement orders of battery cell enterprises have shown steady growth.

In January, national passenger car producers' new energy wholesale estimates reached 900,000 units, up 1% YoY.

According to the latest data from the Passenger Car Association, in December 2025, producers with new energy wholesale sales exceeding 10,000 units accounted for 93% of the total wholesale sales of passenger NEVs that month.
