BYD's DENZA rolls off 10,000th DENZA N9 vehicle two months after market launch

On May 21, BYD's premium brand DENZA announced that the 10,000th unit of its N9 model has officially rolled off the production line.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 21, BYD's premium brand DENZA announced that the 10,000th unit of its N9 model has officially rolled off the production line.

Hitting the market on March 21, the DENZA N9 is positioned as a "tech-savvy, all-round SUV" with a price range of 389,800 yuan to 449,800 yuan.

The N9 adopts DENZA's signature design language, featuring sleek, narrow headlights flanking a front fascia with C-shaped air intakes and an active grille. A roof-mounted LiDAR unit hints at the inclusion of advanced intelligent driving capabilities.

Along the sides, the DENZA N9 is equipped with electronic rearview mirrors to enhance visibility and driving safety. The rear design is upright and solid, with full-width tail lights that echo the shape of the front lamps, visually extending the vehicle's width.

The SUV measures 5,258 mm in length, 2,030 mm in width, and 1,830 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,125 mm.

Inside, the DENZA N9 features a tech-forward cabin centered around a T-shaped dashboard. It includes a 13.2-inch digital driver display, a 13.2-inch front passenger entertainment screen, and a 17.3-inch floating central touchscreen. The four-spoke steering wheel carries physical buttons and scroll wheels for ease of operation.

The DENZAN9 adopts a 2+2+2 six-seat configuration with premium leather upholstery. The driver's seat comes with active side bolsters, while the front passenger seat is equipped with a four-way adjustable leg rest. The second-row features two independent seats with 14-way electric adjustment, lateral movement, dual leg rests with four-way adjustment, two fold-out tables, and dual 50W wireless phone chargers. Additional amenities include a built-in refrigerator and a roof-mounted rear entertainment screen.

Powering the DENZA N9 is a plug-in hybrid system combining a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 207 hp (152 kW) with an electric motor setup delivering a total output of 680 kW. The model offers a CLTC-rated battery-powered range of over 200 km and a combined range of up to 1,300 km.
