The final award yield for this auction was 5.047%, marking the second time that the yield for a 20-year US Treasury auction has broken the 5% threshold. This award yield was 24 basis points higher than the 4.810% yield in April. The award yield for this auction was approximately 1.2 basis points higher than the when-issued rate of 5.035%, marking the largest tail spread since December last year.
