[SMM News: Cyclic Partners with Lime for Magnet Recycling] Canadian rare earth element recycler Cyclic Materials will collaborate with e-moped company Lime to recover magnets from old e-bike and moped motors. Under the partnership, Cyclic will recover rare earth materials from Lime's discarded motors in the US and Canada, processing them at its facilities in Mesa, Arizona, and Kingston, Ontario. Cyclic and Lime plan to commence operations in the coming weeks, with production expansion expected by 2025. Cyclic's Kingston facility employs hydrometallurgy to produce mixed rare earth oxides, while Mesa is the company's first branch in the US. Lime operates over 270,000 e-bikes across 280 cities globally and collaborates with Redwood for battery recycling.
