Recently, Dr. Shengwei Wu from the Geological Science Research Center of the Jiangxi Provincial Geological Survey and Exploration Institute (hereinafter referred to as the "Jiangxi Geological Survey Institute") applied for a research project titled "Key Control Factors Affecting the Differentiation and Enrichment of Ion-Adsorption Type Heavy Rare Earths During Weathering Processes." This project has successfully secured an open fund from the Key Laboratory of Ion-Adsorption Type Rare Earth Resources and Environment of the Ministry of Natural Resources (hereinafter referred to as the "Laboratory"). This achievement will provide strong support for the Jiangxi Geological Survey Institute in conducting scientific research on ion-adsorption type heavy rare earth ores.

The project will delve into the control mechanism of redox environment changes during weathering processes on the differentiation and enrichment of heavy rare earths, offering a new research perspective for further elucidating the differentiation and enrichment mechanisms of heavy rare earths during weathering.

It is understood that the Laboratory focuses on cultivating and gathering high-end talents in the field of ion-adsorption type rare earths. It is committed to overcoming cutting-edge theoretical challenges and core technological bottlenecks in the field of ion-adsorption type rare earth resources and environment, encouraging original innovative research, and leading the high-quality development of China's ion-adsorption type rare earth resources industry to better serve national strategic needs.

Wu Shengwei stated that he would take this opportunity to secure the funding as a starting point, focusing on the migration patterns of heavy rare earths during weathering processes. He aims to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with scientific research institutions, striving to produce high-quality scientific research outcomes and contribute to the development of ore deposit geochemistry research at the Jiangxi Geological Survey Institute.
