General Administration of Customs: China's Copper Scrap Imports Rose 7.92% MoM in April, Breakdown of Sub-item Data

Data from the Online Inquiry Platform for Customs Statistics revealed that China's imports of copper scrap (including copper waste and shredded copper scrap) reached 204,747.956 mt in April 2025, up 7.92% MoM and down 9.43% YoY.

Japan was the largest supplier, with 32,677.883 mt of copper scrap (including copper waste and shredded copper scrap) imported from Japan that month, up 20.95% MoM and up 13.72% YoY.

Thailand ranked as the second-largest supplier, with 25,049.854 mt of copper scrap (including copper waste and shredded copper scrap) imported from Thailand that month, up 27.15% MoM and up 61.91% YoY.
