On May 19, according to news from Hainan University, the New Energy Photovoltaic Materials and Devices Team from the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering at the university has made phased progress in the R&D of new-type PV devices. After authoritative certification by the National Photovoltaic Industry Metrology and Testing Center, the certified efficiency of the perovskite solar cells independently developed by the team reached 26.92%, closely trailing the latest world record efficiency of 26.95% for single-junction perovskite solar cells announced by the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) by a narrow margin of 0.03%.
