[30,000 mt/year Comprehensive Scrap Lithium Battery Recycling Project] Recently, the People's Government of Dushanzi District, Karamay City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, and Xinjiang Fengyan Resource Recycling Co., Ltd. officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote the 30,000 mt/year Comprehensive Scrap Lithium Battery Recycling Project. The People's Government of Dushanzi District pointed out that the scrap lithium battery recycling and comprehensive utilisation project closely aligns with the district's industrial transformation needs towards high-end and intelligent development, effectively driving green, low-carbon, and circular development, and contributing to the achievement of regional sustainable development goals. It is reported that new production lines for power battery dismantling, second-life application assembly, and crushing and recycling are planned to be built. Upon completion, the project will enable the high-value circular utilisation of 30,000 mt of scrap lithium batteries annually, assisting Dushanzi District in extending its new energy industry chain, developing a resource recycling economy, and filling the gap in this field within Xinjiang.
