In April, the growth rates of raw coal, crude oil, and power generation in industries above designated size (hereinafter referred to as "industries above designated size") pulled back, while the growth rate of natural gas production accelerated.

I. Production of Raw Coal, Crude Oil, and Natural Gas, and Related Conditions

Stable growth in raw coal production. In April, the raw coal production of industries above designated size was 390 million mt, up 3.8% YoY, with the growth rate pulling back by 5.8 percentage points compared to March; the daily average production was 12.98 million mt.

From January to April, the raw coal production of industries above designated size was 1.58 billion mt, up 6.6% YoY.

Crude oil production maintained growth. In April, the crude oil production of industries above designated size was 17.72 million mt, up 1.5% YoY, with the growth rate slowing down by 2.0 percentage points compared to March; the daily average production was 591,000 mt.

From January to April, the crude oil production of industries above designated size was 71.81 million mt, up 1.2% YoY.

Crude oil processing slowed down somewhat. In April, industries above designated size processed 58.03 million mt of crude oil, down 1.4% YoY, compared to a 0.4% increase in March; the daily average processing volume was 1.934 million mt.

From January to April, industries above designated size processed 240.27 million mt of crude oil, up 0.8% YoY.

The growth rate of natural gas production accelerated. In April, the natural gas production of industries above designated size was 21.5 billion m³, up 8.1% YoY, with the growth rate accelerating by 3.1 percentage points compared to March; the daily average production was 720 million m³.

From January to April, the natural gas production of industries above designated size was 87.4 billion m³, up 5.3% YoY.

II. Power Generation Conditions

Power generation in industries above designated size grew steadily. In April, the power generation of industries above designated size was 711.1 billion kWh, up 0.9% YoY, with the growth rate slowing down by 0.9 percentage points compared to March; the daily average power generation was 23.7 billion kWh. From January to April, the power generation of industries above designated size was 2,984 billion kWh, up 0.1% YoY. Excluding the impact of the number of days, the daily average power generation was up 0.9% YoY.

By type, in April, the decline in thermal power generation in industries above designated size remained unchanged, hydropower generation shifted from growth to decline, nuclear power generation growth slowed down, while wind power and solar power generation growth accelerated. Specifically, thermal power generation in industries above designated size was down 2.3% YoY, with the decline remaining unchanged from March; hydropower generation in industries above designated size was down 6.5%, compared to a 9.5% increase in March; nuclear power generation in industries above designated size was up 12.4%, with the growth rate slowing down by 10.6 percentage points; wind power generation in industries above designated size was up 12.7%, with the growth rate accelerating by 4.5 percentage points; solar power generation in industries above designated size was up 16.7%, with the growth rate accelerating by 7.8 percentage points.
