Yunnan Province Ranks Fourth in China in Lead Smelting Capacity

[Yunnan Province's lead smelting capacity is approximately 970,000 mt, ranking fourth in China]
According to relevant statistics, as of the end of 2024, there were 95 lead-zinc enterprises (including those engaged in comprehensive recycling and utilization of secondary resources) above designated size in Yunnan Province. Among them, there were 38 mine mining and beneficiation enterprises, with an ore processing capacity of approximately 10 million mt; 44 smelting and rolling processing enterprises, with a lead smelting capacity of approximately 970,000 mt, ranking fourth in China; a zinc smelting capacity of approximately 1.37 million mt, ranking first in China; and 13 enterprises engaged in comprehensive recycling and utilization of secondary resources. In 2024, the output value of Yunnan Province's lead-zinc industry above designated size reached approximately 55 billion yuan, a 3.8% increase from the previous year.

Sluggish Transactions in Domestic Secondary Crude Lead Market, Prices at 15,250-15,400 Yuan/mt

The domestic secondary crude lead market experienced sluggish transactions. As of February 6, 2026, the ex-factory tax-exclusive offers for domestic secondary crude lead stood at 15,250-15,400 yuan/mt. Downstream refined lead and alloy smelters gradually entered the holiday period, showing weak stockpiling willingness. Overseas lead ingot suppliers basically halted transactions with China due to poor consumption in the Chinese market, with only some previously concluded shipments maintaining normal in-transit transportation. The trading atmosphere in the secondary crude lead market will continue to weaken next week.
