According to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), retail sales of passenger cars nationwide reached 1.755 million units in April, up 14.5% YoY, hitting a relatively historical peak. Meanwhile, exports of passenger NEVs reached 189,000 units in April, up 44.2% YoY. The CPCA emphasized that the proportion of China's auto exports to the US is negligible, especially as independent brands have virtually no sales in the US market. Therefore, the number of independent brand vehicles affected by US tariffs is relatively small. In contrast, China's market share of independent brand sales in Russia remains at around 55%, with relatively small pressure on export reductions.
