SMM News, May 14 – According to official information from a Hunan-based company, the open bidding for 1,000 physical tons of bismuth concentrate (for May 2025 delivery) has begun today. The bidding will close at 10:00 AM on the 16th.
The concentrate specifications are as follows:
Bismuth (Bi) content: 18% ≤ Bi < 45%
Moisture (H₂O) content: 15% ≤ H₂O < 25%
Silver (Ag) content: Approx. 200–600 g/ton
Gold (Au) content: Approx. 1.5 g/ton
The final settlement quantity will be based on the actual weighed amount at the site. The 1,000 physical tons are currently stored in the company’s warehouse and will be auctioned in two batches (500 physical tons each).
The reserve price for this auction is set at 120,000 yuan per metal ton, and bids below this threshold will be considered invalid.
Although the bidding period is short (just two days) and the reserve price is relatively high, market insiders speculate that a successful transaction is likely.
