The R&D team at Chongqing University has achieved new results in the field of automotive lightweighting, successfully manufacturing ultra-large front-end modules, battery shells, wheel hubs, and other components using new-type magnesium alloy materials. Compared with traditional materials, these new components are nearly one-third lighter, providing a new option for enhancing the driving range of EVs. Currently, several mainstream automakers have begun to pay attention to this material innovation, and it is expected that magnesium alloy components will be seen in more car models in the future.
