[Gold Resource Reports Sharp Decline in Q1 2025 Output at Don David Gold Mine]
On May 12, Gold Resource Corporation announced Q1 2025 production results from its Don David Gold Mine (DDGM) in Mexico. During the quarter, the operation faced significant equipment availability issues due to the aging and deteriorating condition of key mining machinery. The ongoing equipment challenges, combined with reduced cash flow from prior production shortfalls, hindered both ore throughput and grades. As a result, the mine produced 699 tonnes of zinc concentrate and 272 tonnes of lead concentrate in the first quarter, representing year-on-year declines of 69.7% and 66.5%, respectively.
