[Deer Share Advances Construction of Pilot and Mass Production Line Bases for Solid-State Batteries]
Deer Share stated at the 2024 Annual Performance Briefing on May 8 that the company is actively advancing the construction of subsequent pilot and mass production line bases for solid-state batteries. Since establishing Deer Share Japan in 2018, the company has been committed to the development of solid-state batteries, choosing an electrolyte solution primarily based on oxides and composite organic materials. In 2023, its solid-state battery samples passed nail penetration, heating, and overcharge tests conducted by a third-party institution. In 2024, the solid-state battery technology was granted a national invention patent, and a strategic cooperation agreement was signed with Jiangxi JMC Group New Energy Vehicle Co., Ltd. In January 2025, the pilot production line for solid-state batteries in Shanghai completed the preparation of domestic samples, confirming the reproducibility of the technology. The company stated that its oxide-based solid-state batteries exhibit excellent performance, high safety, and ease of mass production, having initially established a first-mover advantage, and are expected to become strong competitors in the future.
