Silicon Metal Market Experiences Slight Destocking in April, Continues in May

Published: May 9, 2025 10:19
[Silicon Metal Flash News] According to SMM's supply-demand data, the total domestic silicon supply-demand balance from January to April was 31,000 mt (including silicon (Si≥97%) and secondary silicon, etc.). The balance from January to March was 39,000 mt, and a slight destocking began in April, with a magnitude of less than 10,000 mt. Based on the production schedule for May, the silicon supply-demand balance in the industry is expected to continue destocking in May, with a magnitude estimated to be within 20,000 mt.
