Weekly Update: China's Metallurgical-Grade Alumina Operating Rate Declines Slightly

[Weekly Metallurgical-Grade Alumina Production Update]According to SMM data, as of Thursday this week, the total existing metallurgical-grade alumina capacity in China was 109.22 million mt/year, and the total operating alumina capacity was 87.02 million mt/year. The weekly operating rate of alumina nationwide decreased by 0.07 percentage points WoW to 79.67%. The operating capacities of alumina enterprises showed mixed changes, with maintenance-related production cuts and production resumptions/new capacity commissioning coexisting at alumina refineries. The total operating alumina capacity nationwide decreased by 80,000 mt/year WoW.
