EU to Launch Trade Defense Investigation into Chinese Tires in May 2025

[SMM Flash News]Recently, according to the official website of the Directorate-General for Trade of the European Commission, the EU will officially launch a trade defense investigation into Chinese tires on May 20, 2025. According to European sources, the EU plans to initiate anti-dumping and countervailing investigations into China's passenger car and light truck tires. Currently, the investigation is in the "preliminary investigation" phase, and specific measures remain unclear as no case has been filed.
