Australian company Lake Resources announced on Wednesday that it has initiated a strategic review of its flagship Kachi lithium project in Argentina. The company stated that despite surging long-term demand for battery metals, the asset remains significantly undervalued. The review aims to explore various options, including the potential sale of a partial stake in the project or a complete sale/merger of the lithium developer. According to the company's disclosure, the Kachi lithium brine project is the largest independently developed project in South America's "Lithium Triangle" region, with total lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) resources exceeding 10.6 million metric tons.
