According to a report from MiningNews.net, White Cliff Minerals announced that its Rae greenfield project in Nunavut, Canada, has been recognized as "one of the most significant copper discoveries globally in the past 50 years."

Reverse circulation drilling at the Danvers prospect within the project encountered ore at a depth of 7.6 meters, spanning 175 meters, with a copper grade of 2.5% and a silver grade of 8.66 g/t. The final 60 meters of this interval had a copper grade of 3.9% and a silver grade of 14.96 g/t. However, the true thickness remains unknown.

"Through our study of Danvers, we believe there is a mineralized system extending at least 175 meters downward from the surface, with a strike length of up to 7 kilometers," the company stated.

Nunavut is characterized by harsh climates, underdeveloped transportation infrastructure, and slow provincial and federal government permitting processes, which can take over a decade.

However, recent news indicates that this final issue has been resolved, as Nunavut has been granted the authority to approve projects independently.

Regarding the project's remote location, it is fortunate that there is an open-water port located 80 kilometers away.

The company commenced drilling last month and has completed nearly 25 holes, totaling 4,000 meters of drilling.

The first batch of sample analysis results was obtained last month, revealing an ore intersection of 58 meters with a copper grade of 3.08%.

In 2023, the company entered Nunavut and has since reported "ultra-high-grade" surface mining results, as well as "regional-scale" geophysical anomalies.
