According to the central bank's website, on the afternoon of May 7, the People's Bank of China (PBOC) convened a system-wide meeting to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee meeting held on April 25, and to fully accelerate the implementation and effectiveness of a package of financial policies. Pan Gongsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of the PBOC, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
The meeting emphasized that the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee meeting conducted an in-depth analysis of the current economic situation and made important arrangements for the next phase of economic work.
