According to an SMM survey, the production of most medium-heavy rare earth oxides decreased MoM from March, while the production of holmium oxide remained flat MoM in April 2025,. The reduction in medium-heavy rare earth production was mainly concentrated in Jiangxi Province. This was due to the significantly increased difficulty in procuring NdFeB scrap after the export restrictions on high-performance magnets in the downstream sector were imposed in early April, leading to a decline in the operating rates of some scrap enterprises.
