On May 6, the procurement results for the solar panel mounting brackets (Lots I, II, and III) of Phase I of the 500,000 kW PV Integrated Project for Sand Control and Desertification Prevention in Dalad Banner, undertaken by the Inner Mongolia Energy Group and designed by the Central-Southern China Institute of PowerChina, were announced. The winning bidder for Lot I was Jiangsu Guoqiang Xingsheng Energy Technology Co., Ltd., for Lot II was Ordos Zhongfu Green Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd., and for Lot III was Jiangxi Provincial Communications Engineering Metal Components Co., Ltd.

On May 6, the procurement results for the solar panel mounting brackets (Lots I, II, and III) of Phase I of the 500,000 kW PV Integrated Project for Desertification Prevention and Control in Dalad Banner, Inner Mongolia Energy Group, undertaken by PowerChina Zhongnan Engineering Corporation Limited, were announced.

This project is located approximately 80 km west of the urban area of Dalad Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The coordinates of the center of the PV power station are 40.30º north latitude and 109.22º east longitude. It is situated in a hilly area approximately 20 km south of Zhonghexi Town, Dalad Banner, characterized by hilly and desert landscapes. The project involves the construction of a 500 MW PV power station, with energy storage considered for centralized construction in the future through a leasing model, which is not included in the current design. Based on the project capacity, a 220 kV booster station is proposed to be built, with provisions for future grid connection. The 500 MW PV capacity of this phase will be connected to the 220 kV side of the Gushanliang 500 kV substation via a single-circuit 220 kV line.

The main scope of work for this procurement project is the procurement of solar panel mounting brackets, including (but not limited to): the design, manufacturing, packaging, transportation (including secondary handling), and related technical services for fixed mounting brackets (including accessories such as inverter clamps, pressure blocks, nuts, and bolts).

The tentative delivery date is March 2025, with all goods to be delivered by April 30, 2025.

[SMM PV News] Armenia Hits 1.1 GW Solar Capacity,
Armenia’s cumulative solar capacity has surged to 1.1 GW following the addition of approximately 615 MW in 2025. This rapid expansion has pushed solar's share of electricity generation to around 15%, effectively meeting the country's 2030 target years ahead of schedule. The growth is heavily driven by a net-metering scheme supporting over 50,000 autonomous producers (totaling 650 MW), though the government ended loan subsidies for rooftop solar in July to shift focus toward battery storage.
