BYD's NEV sales exceed 1.38 million units in the first four months, with 79 GWh of power and ESS batteries installed
On the evening of May 1, BYD (01211.hk) disclosed its production and sales report for April 2025 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In April, BYD achieved NEV sales of approximately 380,100 units, up 21.34% YoY.

By brand, in April, BYD's Dynasty/Ocean series sales reached 347,100 units, up 16.5% YoY;

By brand, Fangchengbao sales exceeded 10,000 units, up 375.8% YoY;

Denza sales reached 15,400 units, up 38.4% YoY;

Yangwang sales reached 135 units.


In terms of overseas sales, in April, BYD's overseas NEV sales totaled 79,086 units, continuing the upward trend on a MoM basis. Among them, overseas sales of passenger vehicles and pickups reached 78,705 units, up 91.9% YoY.

From January to April this year, BYD's cumulative sales reached 1.3809 million units, up 46.98% YoY.

As of now, BYD's cumulative NEV sales have exceeded 11.9 million units.

In addition, according to news from the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, on April 28, BYD (002594) successfully laid the foundation for its passenger vehicle factory in Cambodia.

It is reported that BYD officially settled in Cambodia in 2025, investing in and building a factory within the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone. The factory covers an area of 12 hectares, with a total investment of approximately $32 million (equivalent to approximately 233 million yuan). Phase I of the factory will mainly produce electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and is expected to be completed in October this year, with plans to officially commence operations in November, with an initial annual production capacity of 10,000 units.

In terms of batteries, BYD's total installed capacity of power batteries and ESS batteries in April was approximately 26.478 GWh, with a cumulative installed capacity of approximately 79.031 GWh from January to April.

As of the end of 2024, BYD ESS has established a global sales, delivery, operation and maintenance, and after-sales service network, with over 75 GWh of commercial operation experience, successfully delivering over 360 ESS projects, with applications spanning over 110 countries and regions worldwide.
